Lexa + Andrew

I am so happy to share Lexa + Andrew’s sweet wedding, it was filled with so many happy tears and sweet little hand made gifts for their guests. Lexa + Andrew took such great care of everyone who was involved in making their day  special. Lexa’s bridesmaids reactions to their gifts just made me smile so much, I love when people can celebrate with such joy on such an amazing day!

The day started off at the Sawridge Hotel, because it was a little chilly out we did Lexa + Andrew’s first look inside and it was so beautiful! We followed up with some bridal portraits and portraits of the tow of them at the University of Alberta, you may remember we did Lexa + Andrew’s engagement photos at the University two it seemed fitting to return there not heir wedding day. Lexa gave her bridesmaids some beautiful scarfs to wear which was an amazing pop of colour, plus they looked super cozy! I thought they were an adorable accessory to a wedding something I wouldn’t normally think of!

After that we followed up at Meat a trendy little restaurant here in Edmonton which made for some really fun bridal party shots! Plus it’s the perfect opportunity to grab a drink and relax a little before the big ceremony. Lexa + Andrew’s ceremony and reception was at the Whitemud Creek Community Centre all the decorations and coordination was provided by Bride on a Budget, this was the first time I had an opportunity to work with any kind of coordinator on a wedding and I thought it was wonderful. Normally the coordinator job falls to me so it was nice not having to take those reins for once. Oh one other final detail I should turns out these two LOVE ice-cream so of course their wedding cake had to be ice-cream haha I didn’t know that until the wedding but I love even making little things like that incorporated into their wedding.

Finally there was some very touching first dances and we went out for some nighttime portraits afterwards.

I am so happy I had the opportunity to meet Lexa + Andrew and capture their special day for them I wish them both the utmost happiness! Thank you!
