The Simunkovis Family | Edmonton Winter Family Session.

Yay! Some of my favourite people here are featured here today on my blog. The Simunkovis Family, Edmonton winter family photography session! I’ve been so thankful to photography this family a few times now, starting most importantly with Julia and Robert. I captured their wedding a few years back and instantly I connected with them as humans. I’ve been so lucky to have seen them many more times over the years at other weddings as a couple together.

So when they called me up for this family shoot of course I was excited and on bored! But with a little bit of a twist, of course initially I assumed their parents would be there with us. But Robert told me this would just be the kids and they’re partners. It was to be a gift and Christmas surprise for his parents! I loved that, and thought it was such a sweet gesture.

I took them all to one of my favourite parks, I’ve talked about it before on here. The Fort Edmonton Footbridge park, it’s always really quite especially during the winter months. And we lucked out with some truly gorgeous golden hour light. Just lighting up the tree’s behind them. My favourite park of the shoot, because they wouldn’t all be siblings if they didn’t pull off something like this. I should know, I have tow younger siblings myself. When they smacked their sister int he face with a snowball! And I got it all on camera. Luckily they waited till we were done our shoot to do it.
