The Manson Family | Edmonton Mother Daughter Family Session
The Manson Family | Edmonton Mother Daughter Family Session
Look at this sweet little mother daughter family session! This Fall was so busy with shoots, probably my busiest one yet! And I am not complaining at all, but it can be a lot sometimes. I’m excited to share to share this shoot today because Erin and Pattie. The two gorgeous women I photographed today, just so happen to be my first cousin and auntie! So just before I left Edmonton to spend thanksgiving with my mum in Calgary I met up with the two of them and Erin’s little dog Chico!
Family is really important to me, it’s too bad we all couldn’t coordinate spending thanksgiving all together. But it’s tricky with everyone having such a different schedules. So many moving parts. Just as soon as Pattie arrived in Edmonton from Regina, here I was leaving. But I was happy I got to say hi, squeeze them in, and snap some sweet pics of the both of them.
Myself and my immediate family only took family photos ourselves just the prior thanksgiving after 14 years of no family portraits. Which feels so crazy! Like I can’t believe my family went over a decade with no family pictures. And I’m the photographer in the family. Wild! But genuinely it is hard to get everyone together. Since me and none of my siblings live in the same city. But we do what we can, and so then it’s even more important that when you do get together with your loved ones to get those precious images documented.
And ultimately this is why I’m so passionate about weddings. Because how often do you get everyone in one place all looking nice for a happy occasion, a celebration. It really just drives home how important all of this is.
