The Drozak-Chochula Family | Edmonton Baby Family Session

I loved this sweet little family I did with the Drozak-Chochula family. Lindsey and Mark were past wedding clients of mine and now they have sweet little baby Sophie. It’s always a treat for me to watch my wedding clients grow their families. I get called back to capture more of their special moments. I really feel like I get a front row seat to all their big moments. Because of course I know I’m not actually there haha, I get to be there after the big moment has actually happened in private. Then I get contacted to professionally document it.

All the fall colours were out in full force for us and I loved capturing little Sophie, she was perfect for the camera. That’s always a wild card, really hit and miss. And as best we can, we try to control it. But realistically we don’t have any control. So cest la vie! But again, Sophie killed it haha. Sophie just lit up when her dad, Mark held her. I jokingly said that as she get’s older she’ll totally be a daddies girl. I can see into the future, I clearly have a crystal ball. I’m kidding guys, really.

Anyway, I loved that Lindsey made a point to tell me this. She didn’t call me right when Sophie was born, she wanted to wait till Sophie was a little bit bigger. When they could actually interact with her more, she thought those photos would turn out better and wanted to save them for then. And I loved that idea, when she can actually hold her head up and look at her parents. It made the shoot so much fun, I would happily push for more sessions like that in the future I think it’s a great idea.
