Sydney & Peter’s Moody Skies Engagement Session Edmonton

Here it is friends, I was really stoked about Sydney & Peter’s moody skies engagement session. Everyone knows I love golden hour and I talk about it all the time. But honestly this was so much and different for me to shoot in. We got some crazy dramatic skies in play, and I was excited. Normally, it it’s just not golden hour we get overcast. So to get these really neat sky colours contrasted with the bright green from the grass was extra cool.

Sydney and Peter just got engaged maybe only like a few weeks before we did our session together, which was so sweet. So the newly engaged excitement was all there. Normally it’s months or even years till I do an engagement session with a couple. From the original date of engagement. While it’s all still exciting of course it’s just a different vibe compared to brand new engaged. If you all get what I’m laying down haha!

We ran around outside for hours taking photos, I took them to one of my favourite spot about thirty minutes outside of the city. Feels like a bit of a trek but it is worth it. Afterwards I drove them back to the city and we park and walked over the Government House. We had done some of the nature shots and we wanted to mix it up and shoot something a little more urban. If you can’t decide what look you want for you photos, do both! No one ever said you couldn’t so I think you should have all the options available to you.

Sydney and Peter are tying the knot next fall and I cannot wait, because I mean look at how cute these two are! I can’t handle it!
