Hi everyone, I’m happy to share some images from my most recent session. Most people are really surprised to learn that I do not have a studio space. I’ve been photographing headshots for almost ten years without a studio. Now I would love a studio, don’t get the wrong idea. But rental space is expensive to full time lease. At this point in my career if I’ve gotten away this long without a studio do I need one? Ideally I’d like an extra room in my home that I can dedicate to being a full time space for shooting in. But we’re not there yet either, and that’s ok!

In the meantime I love the services I’m able to provide which involves me going into my clients business and homes. Which is exactly what I did with Samantha here. Sometimes initially it can weird people out. They can’t quite picture how I can get a good portrait of them that they can use while I’m in their home. I always bring all my professional lighting, and my backdrops.

The other upside however that I love, when I get to go to people homes. It’s a new environment to shoot in. I really encourage people to let me photograph them in their home, their office space. Where they spend each and every day! Not only are you more comfortable and relaxed in your own home. Which makes you more confident and really makes your photos shine more! (trust me!) but I think it’s just a great opportunity to get to explore the city more, and really just get a glimpse into other people lives. Which is ultimately why I love photography at the end of the day. to capture a little bit of you and your personality in an image.
