Oh boy! I got a lot of headshots to share to stay tuned, summer is gone. Winter is here! Which means weddings are dead and my headshots and branding photos pick up more. I’m really passionate about providing people a great headshot. I’m just really really tired of signing onto Linkedin and seeing just truly terrible photos of people shot on an iPhone. In a crummy corner of a dim lit office. And I’m not blaming the people themselves. I think a lot of people just don’t see the value in a good headshot.

A lot of times I think people will think an iPhone photo will cut it, or even worse a selfi. If you own a business, any kind of business. You need a good, clean, crisp headshot of you smiling and looking at the camera. It doesn’t need to be fancy or over the top at all. I love taking creative portraits but we save those for your websites, social media, all that good stuff.

As always, agood headshot taken by a professional not only can change the way you see yourself, as a more confident individual. But it can also change the way others see you, potential clients and business partners. It lets others know that you’re a person that is willing to invest in yourself which is an admirable trait. You see yourself a serious person and a confident person.

Roma works in banking and need a selection of new images for both her business cards and socials. We met up at one of my favourite Edmonton studios, Hey You Studio. Working with natural light is always my go-to if its available. I think it’s the most flattering on the skin tones and provides an overall luminescence that I find attractive.
