The Wedding Day
It’s hard to beat Idel and Desmond’s wedding, it was definitely a highlight of mine for the summer, beautiful as always, the Post Hotel and Moraine Lake served as an amazing backdrop. Everything was held at the Post Hotel, which is always so nice for wedding guests. You could tell that Idel and Desmond really cared about the comfort of both their guests and most importantly their bridal party! Just before the ceremony Idel and Desmond met up for a little “handheld, first look” they didn’t see each other, we placed them on either side of a wall and they exchanged some handwritten notes. The ceremony was officiated by a family member another personal touch that I personally loved as that’s so rare to see!
It rained on the day but we didn’t mind because it left a normally very busy Moraine Lake fairly empty for us to take some unforgettable photos! I was so pleased to hear afterwards from Desmond that the bright blue water, mountains in the background was exactly what they had envisioned their wedding photos to look like! Idel and Desmond had never been to Moraine Lake before so they didn’t know quite what they were in store for. But they trusted me, and boy am I glad they did!
I don’t know if you all know but the Post Hotel has one of the largest wine cellars in Canada, so of course, wen’t down there to take some more images. I loved this wedding day so much, thank you Idel and Desmond for allowing me the great pleasure of being your photographer!
