The Wedding day
What a day Megan and Rob’s wedding day was! The one thing that really sticks out for me when I look back on their day was the absolutely crazy weather we had. And when I say crazy I just mean blazing cold. It was really unexpected for Septemeber, in previous years we have August like temperatures for September weddings. But mother nature decided instead to bless us with snow and freezing temperatures. I always give huge props to brides and bridesmaids to braving whatever cold weather we have. So again props to Megan and her bridesmaids. I get to wear comfy boots and warm jackets while the girls are always in dresses and tiny heels! Props!
I’ve been thankful enough to photograph Megan and Rob a few times now, always a joy to work with, always excited to see me. And I’m always excited to see them! Megan and Rob had a beautiful and very personalized ceremony at a stunning old church just off Whyte Ave. Old wooden church pews, that circled in on Megan and Rob. Faded stain glass windows that set a wonderful warm yellow light over the two of them for portraits. It was perfect and I should add the wonderful prayers that Megan and Rob shared separately moments before they saw each other down the aisle. With their bridal party and family members, I adore those images so much.
The reception was filled with lots of people, and I know everyone personally loved the choreographed first dance swing music style (which is how Megan and Rob met). And I know we all loved the #teambowlcut of Rob so that Megan’s family could welcome him in. Honestly hilarious! Thank you, Megan and Rob, for letting me be your photographer.
