Claire and Mike’s Muttart Conservatory Elopement Wedding.
The Wedding Day
What a stunning and beautiful little wedding with Claire and Mike at the Muttart Conservatory. On a warm September day, surrounded by a small number of close family and friends. Claire and Mike officially tied the knot. I met up with them on the Muttart grounds, the sun beaming down, ready to capture their first look. It was full of smiles and laughs and it made my heart sore!
Claire and Mike were, of course, the centre of attention but it wouldn’t be their special day without their two children, Mackenzie and Cameron. Weddings are a beautiful celebration of family, families coming together! These four we’re already a family awhile ago, but it’s always so much more fun when you get to cheers to it too. Which is exactly what this day was.
I always like to pay special attention to immediate family at any wedding, mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. Grandparents always get extra notice as well if present, but, I love seeing my couples children at weddings. It’s not often that I photograph weddings where my couples have kids, however, the few that I have had the pleasure to photograph always include their children and I adore that. Mackenzie and Cameron were great sports throughout the ceremony, Cameron did run-up to his parents at one point. But, again this is why I love kids at weddings! They don’t fully understand what’s happening and so kids, act as kids do. Raw and unscripted.
Following the ceremony, we went outside onto the Muttart roof for some bridal party and bride and groom photos, the sun was slowly starting to set and the light was gorgeous. I didn’t follow Mike and Claire to their reception but I’m sure it was a blast! Thank you, Mike and Claire, for including me in your elopement wedding.
