The Wedding Day

Lindsey & Mark’s Ukrainian Orthodox Wedding in Edmonton was so beautiful! These two amazing humans said there I Do’s at a beautiful Ukrainian ceremony, it’s always such a treat for me when I get to capture different cultures, ceremonies and religions. That’s really one of my favourite parts about my job I get to experience so many different and special moments. That I don’t think I would normally get to witness. It’s like I get to travel the world without actually leaving my very own city. It is so cool! I think one of my favourite parts about the Ukrainian Orthodox ceremony I got to photograph was when Lindsey and Mark got to wear crowns, who wouldn’t want to feel like royalty on their wedding day. Just very very cool to me.

No rain, many mosquitoes, lots of laughs, and including a “special surprise” for Lindsey from Mark. Which consisted of Mark putting on a hilariously bad wig for his new wife, as Lindsey jokingly said she had thought her future husband would have hair. We all laughed so much, I love a good inside joke.

We finished off the day at The Country Lodge where the food was incredible as always and of course it wouldn’t be a Ukrainian wedding without all the tasty perogies and cabbage rolls. Thank you, Lindsey & Mark, for allowing me to capture your day.
