Kalyna & Kyle’s Edmonton Industrial Couples Session.

Holy smokes guys, I’m way stoked about this session. Kalyna and Kyle’s Edmonton industrial couples session was super cool for me to shoot. Obviously the starting images are not industrial themed, so don’t judge me on that. But our other half of the shoot perfectly fits that vibe. I can only use so many words to describe the shoot for google ok! So I’m working with what I got. And honestly the more industrial style photos are easily my favourites from this shoot. I definitely created some of my best images to date here and I’m personally really proud of them.

Of course after I posted a few of these on instagram I had a ton of photographers messaging me on where exactly this was in Edmonton that I took the photo. Now I’m happy to share the location, I do not like to gate keep. But I do have a problem when people in the same sentence ask me where it was shot and how it was shot. Because at that point I think people are just going to copy me. Now I’m not saying that my idea was insanely unique but comments like that can rub me the wrong way. Wouldn’t you want to create something new rather than copy what I’ve done? Use it for inspiration but don’t copy please.

I love that Kalyna and Kyle are artists as well and could see my vision. They also brought along their sweet dog Kapi. We did a few photos in their home, took a stroll down to the river valley. And then eventually made our way over to this industrial area I spied with my eye as I was literarily driving over to their home. We had so much fun with our time together, thank you both for being so wonderful!
