Jake & Natasha’s Alberta Beach Engagement Proposal

Hello friends! Boy am i excited to share these photos with you all today! Now I photograph a lot of weddings, a lot of headshots, but proposals? Those are few and far in between. And maybe I’m biased (obviously) but i think this is such a great once in a lifetime moment to happen, it be so amazing if everyone had the foresight to document it.

Now I know what you’re thinking, I’d love to have a photographer there but how am I going to that without it being obvious that I’m going to propose? Well there’s a few ways around it, but I loved what Jake did here! He called me up told me the whole plan, and we played off the whole the whole thing like we were just taking family pictures. Which of course as you’ll see we did actually do! Which was great, because Natasha had absolutely no idea whatsoever that Jake was going to propose.

Natasha had just the most perfect reaction because she was truly surprised. Jake’s whole family was there of course, he organized it we took family photos with his whole family. But Jake was so sweet, he did include Natasha’s mom and sister and invited them out to witness the actual proposal that we saved right till the very end.

These are the moment’s I really love capturing, all the little interactions during and after the big event. There were happy tears, lots of hugs, popping the champagne, cheers, and more hugs. Oh and Natasha showing off her gorgeous engagement ring proudly. I couldn’t have asked for this session to have turned out any better. It really was picture perfect. A perfect moment captured.
