the lilacs were out, the golden hour was strong, everything that made this session perfect happened. That is so incredibly rare! I always want these types of sessions for my clients, however I cannot control mother nature. I do my very best to plan out the details and timing to the best of my abilities. But I’m only human and can only do so much! Luckily for Gaby and Sheldon though, we got all the pieces lined up and I wouldn’t want anything more for these two cuties.

Edmonton is chalk full of hidden gems like this. I like to think of myself at this point in the game. As a secrete tour guide of Edmonton. I feel like I know all the good spots. All the hidden spots, the quiet ones, and the most dramatic ones. This job really takes me all over the city. I’ve spent years curating a list of photo locations that can check off many boxes that my clients are looking for. I did have a client ask me once “how do you know all these great spots for photos?” I had to laugh a little and just simply respond with, “it’s my job.” It really is a secondary characteristic or bonus if you will to being a photographer. You just become an expert of your own city.

I definitely like to think this is one of the assets of hiring a long term experienced photographer.
