The Wedding

I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am to FINALLY have photographed Erica and Nathan’s lively Country Club wedding! You know what they say, third times the charm right? Well I’m glad that rule stood true after two reschedules due to covid. Erica and Nathan we’re finally able to have the perfect wedding day (covid free) after two years! Yes, the original wedding date was set for summer of 2020, so crazy! I was just grinning ear to ear with joy for them as they said they’re vows to each other.

It’s incredibly rare that I cry at weddings, don’t get the wrong idea, I’m definitely a sentimental person. But I’m normally far too focused on what I’m doing behind the camera to really take in moments. Most of the time I really am just excited that I’m getting amazing moments of other people crying, I’m the creep in the corner cheering that people are crying. Again, I’m just excited that I’m getting great and special moments documented for my clients. With all that said however, during Erica and Nathan’s vows I actually did start to tear up a little! So that was pretty huge for me.

We had such a blast running around Edmonton taking photos, they just wanted to have so much fun with their wedding party and each other. That 100% came through in the images. I always tell that to people, if you’re a more serious and intimate couple, that’ll come through. If you’re a giggly and silly couple, that’ll come through. Those vibes aren’t something you can fake, so if you’re at all worried about how you’ll come across in your pictures don’t be. We want you top be relaxed, have fun, and be your authentic self. Please don’t try and force yourself to be something you’re not, you won’t like images at the end of day. I see this time and time again!

I can’t get over how cute Erica and Nathan are. I’m so happy to see them finally tie the knot, and I’m so thankful these two trusted me.
