Empire Salon St. Albert Branding Session

Happy to be back sharing some of my favourite humans on planet earth! Shawna and her team from Empire Salon in St. Albert for their branding session! I typically will go in a few times of year to the salon. To update headshots and team photos for them, as well as any other branding images needed. Such as photos of new products and services that they are offering.

The great thing, because they keep brining me back and I’ve been working with hem for so long now. That we have built such a collaborative and fun relationship. Which allows us to really think outside the box and create really unique content for them that lets them stand out from their competition. That’s really the goal at the end of the day. The goal is to hire a photographer that understand you and your brand well enough that you two can work together and deliver a final product and speaks to your brand and is cohesive.

We got to have a lot of fun with this particular session. I always bring my full portable studio with me, setting up the backdrops and lights, then we’re ready to roll! Poor a couple glasses or wine, and get the music going. Magic! Our goal for our shoot today was to really try and emulate high fashion magazine shots with lots of movement with the hair stylist at the salon. A different shot, a different pose for each person. Highlighting the hair (obviously) which meant lots of fun hair flips! Hair-ography if you will.

Shawna always love small group photos to round out our sessions. We’ve done them many times before, they’re great for her instagram. They’re a salon that promotes a team based environment that is fun.
