I get to share one my all time favourite business today! If you’ve been following me for awhile now you all know that Empire Salon is like my second home at this point. I originally lived in St. Albert for years with my family. So I’m really thrilled to share Empire Salon’s St. Albert Branding Session. Shawna the owner, has been doing my hair since I was something like 12 or 13. Shawna has watched me grow into the photographer I am today. And I was thankful enough to watch her open up her very own salon. The very first one I photographed for her years ago. Now Shawn’s grown and moved, and open up this stunning new space!

Love that I have gotten to be there for all of Empire’s moments alongside Shawna. We love working together she always comes to me with the craziest ideas for shoots she wants to do with her team. I wasn’t capturing anyone, but I was just there to photograph the brand new space. Shawna’s really outdone herself with the design. The sharp black contrasted with the concrete floors, this industrial design is one of my favourites. And then of course the show stopping moment… The neon sign in her hair wash station. I simply died when I saw that. I was so excited to photograph it!

Her first salon was stunning but this time she really upgraded and it takes the cake. I know they’re truly home now. I’m so looking forward to coming back and photographing the team in the new space. And I just know Shawna and I will come up with more crazy photoshoot concepts in the future. So stay tuned, if you couldn’t tell we’ve already been in talks. Wink wink, nudge nudge. Thanks friends!
