Drumheller with Delaney + Nash
Hi folks!
We’ll many of you have seen pictures here and there of this shoot, it’s taken me awhile to publish it but anyway here it is now! FINALLY! Over the summer my friend Melissa from Bespoke Photography and I decided to go for a hike out in Drumheller, I normally go hiking out in Jasper but I felt like a trip to the Bad Lands was needed. Unfortunately our hike was cut down to a mer 15 – 20 minutes or so due to the unwelcoming heat that day, seriously guys it was like +35 celsius or something. So instead we decided to explore the weird dinosaur town that is Drumheller keeping comfortable in the air conditioned car and soaking our feet in a little outdoor kiddie pool only to keep ourselves from dying of heat!
So while we explored (in the car, keeping hydrated) we suddenly became inspired! I so often see so many people run out to the rockies for shoots but in all honesty I haven’t seen a whole lot from the Bad Lands. I would really enjoy if I would get some real clients of mine to do a session out there because it truly is beautiful.
This is great thing I love about living in Alberta, in Edmonton if you don’t feel like going far we have the stunning Edmonton river valley a perfect greenbelt of urban parkway. Just three or so hours east we have the rockies! Drive in any direction just outside of our city and you come across beautiful farm land, and finally just south east we have the Drumheller and the Bad Lands! Frickin love where I love!
The three hour long drive to Drumheller from Edmonton was so worthwhile to capture these photographs that will keep me inspired for years to come even while my work still continues to grow. I got to work with many amazing vendors and people and I am so grateful for that.
