Downtown Fall Engagement Session

How beautiful are Brittany and Jimmy! How beautiful are their smiles, I can almost hear their laughs when I look at their photographs! I took Brittany and Jimmy to one of my favourite spots in Edmonton. When a couple asks for an urban look and feel to their images I know I want to take them to the top of a parkade, almost always. I love the lines, and the words concrete jungle immediately come to mind. Plus if you go in the evening (which is when I typically shoot my sessions so we’re hitting golden hour) the parkades are empty! It makes for some incredible skyline views, uninterrupted with soaring sheets of glass from skyscrapers, and the ability to take advantage of some pretty unique angles.

Brittany and Jimmy have a beautiful son named Hendrix, I think it’s nothing but awesome when we can include the whole family. While it is an engagement session, yes. I always offer my couples to bring along their kids if they have any, for a couple of pictures. Because how often do you get professional pictures taken? The answer is probably not very often, the average family is approximately every few years. So bring your kids along to your engagement session, I don’t mind. The more the merrier in my opinion! While we are celebrating you two, your love and the culmination of your love for each other, your children are part of that story and if you want them involved then I think they should be.
