Downtown Edmonton Urban Engagement Session

Wow! Allie and Leah, I’m so grateful I got to meet you two, I’m so grateful to call you both friends of mine. Both Allie and Leah are so generous, they knew immediately that they wanted me! I never take that for granted, I always treat it with the utmost respect when someone undoubtedly wants me to photograph them. Their big and special, precious, moments.

Just to give you an example of how generous they are Allie was texting me prior to our session, she asked me what type of wine I liked. I told her, no need to get me anything! You’re paying for the session, really it’s ok. But Allie insisted, so I replied, thank you so much I would be happy with any bottle of wine I’ll put it to good use. Again Allie continued, she wanted the specifics! What kind of wine! Name, brand! I chuckle now as I write this, you see this isn’t pushy, I see this as caring.

Allie and Leah showed up and gave me a bottle of riesling (which is one of my favourites). So thank you to that, it definitely went to good use. I promise you! I’m really happy I got to take these two on a fun engagement session, I’m always trying to mix up my photo locations. I don’t want everyone’s photos to look the same if I can avoid it. So when Allie and Leah told me they might like something a little more urban-themed for their photographs, I remembered this awesome new mural that had gone up over the summer.

The colours were a treat to capture and Allie and Leah are both so intimate and playful. Unfortunately, I was unavailable for their wedding date. However, my good friend and talented photographer Erin Sweet Photography will be taking good care of them. Thank you, Allie and Leah, for letting me shoot your engagement session!
