Chateau Louis Wedding – Brenda + Alex

Hi there everyone!

Wow it’s feel like forever since I last blogged, and true-fully it has. The rest of the summer completely took me over, follow my weddings I found no time for myself and I felt honestly so burnt out. But good news now, I’m back on my feet after taking a week or two off and I’m happy to finally share with you all the rest of my beautiful wedding’s that I shot this summer. Starting with… Brenda and Alex!

These two, what more can I say, just unbelievably happy and kind souls. I had a blast with them out in Jasper much earlier this year for their engagement session, if you’d like to view these two in the rocky mountains you can check out that shoot here!

Brenda and Alex married on a lovely July day, I spent the first part of the morning with Alex and his family, many of whom came directly from Quebec. The whole day was wonderful in the fact that Brenda and Alex made such a brilliant effort to include everyone who attend, their ceremony displayed their vows and details of the ceremony in french and Brenda made a wonderful speech later on during their reception also in french. I only wish that I could have stuck with french and I could have understood it better, oh well!

Brenda and her bridesmaids made me feel right at home, in fact funny little story from their wedding day as we were all getting ready to leave the church (off to take bridal party portraits) we saw one of Brenda’s bridesmaids running behind the limo as it started to drive away. So we quickly scooped her up in our car haha turns out they didn’t exactly forget her but it seemed as though they were driving away! And we certainly didn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun, it all worked out in the end and we popped a bottle of champagne on the streets of downtown Edmonton to celebrate.

The rest of the day was filled with touching speeches, most notably when Alex’s brother went up to give his it was very emotional it warmed my heart so much. And to finish off the night lots of dancing all around, I have to add Alex has some of the best reactions ever when dancing I encourage you all to make it to the end of this post.
