Oh my goodness! This is going to be such a great shoot to share, here it goes! Charissa and Paul’s Lake Minnewanka Adventure session!

Adventure sessions are an amazing opportunity to capture you and your partner on a day other than your wedding. I’ve had couples dress casually for this session, just like their engagement sessions. But by far my favourite and best recommendation is to use this as an opportunity to dress up again, in your wedding day attire. Boy am I glad we pre-booked Charissa and Paul’s session prior to the wedding. Because we ended up with quite the downpour on their actual wedding day (to be shared next time!) We only managed to get a handful of photos of them on their wedding day not nearly what we were hoping to achieve after running around the city trying to find a dry indoors backup location. We made it work in the end, we always do. But if this happens to you book yourself an adventure session!

I met up with Charissa and Paul just outside the town of Banff on our way to Lake Minnewanka. There’s a gorgeous little field with long grass that I always like to stop in along the way, we lucked out with some really nice weather that day. It was cool but not too warm either, chef’s kiss* Because believe me, I’ve been outside to photograph enough, temperature can make or break a shoot.

We eventually headed up to the lake, I’ve got a couple of little spots that I love to use. We were the only ones there so that made it all the more perfect. Check out their shoot below, I hope you all enjoy it! Thank you Charissa and Paul for letting me capture you!
