The Wedding Day

Allison & Todd’s Intimate Fall Backyard Wedding in Edmonton was small, and all around everything I love to photograph when it comes to capturing weddings. They only had their closest and dearest, and created a beautiful spot in their backyard for the ceremony. They are both so creative and designed everything themselves. What I love about small and intimate weddings is that I can really be there to capture the big moments but most importantly all the little in between moments.

They cleared their front living room and set a big long table for their dinner, with shots of tequila all around for everyone. Allison is such a fire cracker, she just wanted everyone to have the best time, and feel at home and comfortable. Which was exactly how she made me and Elise feel, I personally was really thankful. I haven’t known these two very long but I do know they put family first, mainly their children. A beautifully newly blended family.

What a magical day this was, small snowflakes fell from the air but big family hugs kept them all warm. Allison and Todd’s unwavering passion for each other was apparent as they clung to each other every chance they got. I adored their at home wedding, so sweet, simple and pure lovely. It really goes to show that you don’t need a big fancy opulent wedding to have a beautiful day or beautiful images. I love making photography magic from very little. Thank you Allison and Todd for allowing me to be apart of your family for the day!
